The Coziest Podcast Episodes to Enjoy During the Fall Season

I love to change my media consumption with the seasons. Nothing quite like curling up on one of the first rainy days of fall and hearing the tones of the Gilmore Girls intro while you sip your cinnamon tea!

Besides my music, shows and books, I also like to match my podcast listening to the season! So today I wanted to share my favorite podcast episodes that get me into a fall mood. Note that I did not grow up celebrating Halloween, so my fall vibes are rarely spooky! If you've never listened to these podcasts before, I will give you a brief introduction with all you need to know before I list my favorite fall episodes!

Every episode is linked individually to the host's own website! For Spotify listeners, I have created a playlist that includes all the episodes mentioned in this blogpost.

Ologies with Alie Ward Introduction

Alie Ward is a delightful, curious host who dives into a different science niche every week by interviewing an 'ologist' in that field. Alie herself isn't a scientist, so whenever things get confusing, she will side bar and provide you with all the knowledge you need to follow along with the expert! The episodes are filled to the brim with knowledge, but somehow make for a very casual, fun listen!

As a reminder: these are my personal favorite Ologies episodes that gave me a fuzzy, autumnal feeling. This is not a comprehensive list of all Fall themed ologies episodes!

Articles of Interest Introduction
Articles of Interest is a spin off of the hit podcast 99% Invisible. Instead of reporting on stories about design, host Avery Trufelman covers stories related to fashion. From why woman rarely get the pockets they deserve, to the history of modesty or nudity. Avery is a curious, witty host that makes even the unlikely topics interesting!

Stuff You Should Know Introduction

Stuff You Should Know is created by the duo Josh Clark and Chuck Bryant, originally writers, they became an iconic podcasting duo in 2008. Yes, you read that right! They have been at this podcasting thing for a while! Every episode, they research a topic for a day or two and come together to talk about it. While talking about the topics, they also chat as friends and colleagues: talking about their wives (Emily and Umi), their families and pets. It makes for very cosy listening, with some great trivia you can pick up along the way!

 Short History of... Introduction

Short History of... is a history documentary podcast covering a different topic from history each episode. They mix immersive storytelling with interviews with experts. As far as I know, there are two hosts who both have fantastic deep, soothing voices that really add to the cosy feel for me!

The Dream season 1 (Little everywhere & Witness Docs) Tagwords: Multi Level Marketing, personal investigation, small town America I'll start with the one that i nspired me to make this post. I'm currently listening to season one, which is about multi-level marketing (also called MLM's, not to be confused by men loving men). This podcast has plenty of interesting characters that are ...

True Crime Podcasts To Binge Listen this Winter

One thing that get's me through the dark days of winter is a good story. Besides reading books and watching (probably too much) TV, I also love to curl up with a riveting True Crime podcast and get lost in the story for a day. So today I'm sharing with you my favorite binge-worthy true crime podcasts. I've tried my best to include a wide variety of crimes and these are all limited podcasts that have released the full story already, so you can start binge listening all of them right now.  1. Bear Brook  Case type: Unidentified murder victims Bear Brook is one of the best True Crime podcasts I have ever listened to. It really brings you into the community that has formed around four victims whose bodies were found in barrels in the woods of Bear Brook state park. The podcast both investigates who the unidentified victims might be through DNA and genealogy research and who might have been involved in their deaths. Especially the inside look into DNA forensics makes this podcas...
