Cozy, Free Christmas Laptop and Desktop Backgrounds/Wallpapers

Merry Christmas everyone! One of my favorite ways to decorate for every season is to change the background on my laptop and phone to a seasonal wallpaper! I spend hours on Canva scrolling through cute images, illustrations and fonts to create my own too. So today I'm sharing a couple of Christmas backgrounds I have made, for you to use!

1. Retro Postcard Set

I made three versions of this one because even though the whole screen filled with festive images is the cutest, I prefer having empty space to put my app icons! If you are the same as me, I have created two extra options!

2. Merry Christmas in Type Writer Font

I am just obsessed with this type letter font, always have been! It feels nostalgic and cosy. Just like Christmas!

3. Retro Santa Claus

A retro design style fits Christmas so well! I normally don't care much for Santa imagery as it's not something I grew up with in Europe, but this little smiling man definately got me in the Christmas spirit!

4. Watercolor Christmas Village

I combined a bunch of gorgeous watercolor elements into this adorable, little, snowy christmas village! Gosh, I wish I could move in right now!

5. Wool Sweater Pattern Merry Christmas

If I was able to knit a beautifully intricate sweater like this, I would. But I guess this year a laptop wallpaper will have to do!

6. Vintage Magazine Holly Jolly Christmas
I love the vintage effect of a paper texture as a background, it immediatly makes my background feel more cozy! So I tried to incorporate that into this wallpaper in a Christmasy way!

7. Dark Green Snow Merry Christmas Typewriter

Whenever I want a clean and simple background, I always start by searching for a gorgeous color to be the basis. How amazing is this dark, foresty green? I love the contrast with the white snow and the simple yet elegant typeface.

8. In My Heart is a Christmas Tree Farm

Christmas Tree Farm by Taylor Swift is one of my favorite Christmas songs so I had to make a background using a quote from the song. Just the idea of having a little cozy christmas tree farm in your heart to guide you through the holiday season is so adorable to me! And how lovely is this snow effect?

9. Sweet Christmas Days

The good food is one of the best things about Christmas and I wanted to incorporate my massive sweet tooth into a sweet, fun background for Christmas!

11. Ice Skating Snow Day

As a Dutchie, one of my favorite Christmas activities is to go ice skating with friends and family!

Let me know in the comments which one is your favorite! And if you are looking for something cozy to watch this Christmas season, check out my new blogpost about my favorite Christmas themed things to watch here!

Limited Investigative Podcasts (No Murders)

I'm a big fan of true crime podcasts. I get into a story and listen to a whole season within a day. Interesting cases, interesting interviews, I can hardly get enough! But, there are days where I want someone to tell me a riveting story where no one dies. Maybe you do too? Maybe you can't stomach gnarly details of a murdercase, but you still like riveting storytelling? I got you! Here are my favorite, serial, non-murder, podcasts! Essentially these are all limited documentary podcasts, with an investigative or journalism format. But, enough with technicallities, here is my list! 1. The Dream season 1 (Little everywhere & Witness Docs) Tagwords: Multi Level Marketing, personal investigation, small town America I'll start with the one that i nspired me to make this post. I'm currently listening to season one, which is about multi-level marketing (also called MLM's, not to be confused by men loving men). This podcast has plenty of interesting characters that are ...

TV-Shows with the Ultimate Fall Vibes

Autumn has become my favorite season the last couple of years. Nothing more comforting than a cosy blanket, cup of sweet tea and a good heartwarming show! So today I'll share my favorite TV-shows to watch during fall! Want to save or share this list on Pinterest? Here is a picture! 1. Gilmore Girls Great if you: - Don't want anything spooky - Want several seasons to binge - Love the early 2000's vibes - Enjoy character driven shows No fall TV-show list is complete without Gilmore Girls! The original Fall TV-show about a mother and daughter trying to find their way in a little cosy town called Stars Hallow. Warning: may come with a coffee addiction. If you don't already have one! The early seasons of Gilmore Girls are especially great if you are a student, as Rory is very academically driven and may be a great motivator to study more! 2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Great if you: - Want something spooky yet funny - Want several seasons to b...

True Crime Podcasts To Binge Listen this Winter

One thing that get's me through the dark days of winter is a good story. Besides reading books and watching (probably too much) TV, I also love to curl up with a riveting True Crime podcast and get lost in the story for a day. So today I'm sharing with you my favorite binge-worthy true crime podcasts. I've tried my best to include a wide variety of crimes and these are all limited podcasts that have released the full story already, so you can start binge listening all of them right now.  1. Bear Brook  Case type: Unidentified murder victims Bear Brook is one of the best True Crime podcasts I have ever listened to. It really brings you into the community that has formed around four victims whose bodies were found in barrels in the woods of Bear Brook state park. The podcast both investigates who the unidentified victims might be through DNA and genealogy research and who might have been involved in their deaths. Especially the inside look into DNA forensics makes this podcas...
