Ways to Promote Your Podcast when You Don't Love Marketing

Hi everyone! Today I was scrolling on Reddit when I saw someone asking if there were other podcasters who didn't love the marketing part of creating a podcast. Now, I've just graduated with a degree in communications, so you'd expect me to love marketing. And I do, sometimes. But it mostly means I have seen how tedious and unmotivating running a brand page on social media can be. Those 7 likes, mostly from friends, aren't really something to keep you going, I know! So today I'm sharing some things you can do that will help you gain attention and listeners, but aren't the typical things that you may think of! 1. Submit your podcast to other pages There are countless people looking for new podcasts every day. So naturally, there are special Instagram pages that cater to this audience. On Instagram, there are many pages that review and/or share podcasts or their trailers. Like with Facebook pages, you can message these pages directly with a message sharing your pod...

Perfect Movies For Your Next Girls Night

We all know the classic girls' night movies like Legally Blonde or Miss Congeniality, but what if you want something different for your next movie night? I got you covered! Here are ten suggestions!    1. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society This is one of those movies that you can watch together with your mom, without any awkwardness, you know? Still, the movie stars many beautiful people to look at and the storyline is very sweet. The whole movie is about a writer who learns about a book club from the island Guernsey that started during the second world war. After corresponding with several members, she decides to finally visit the island. And of course, drama ensues.  2. Hidden Figures Okay, this is a long watch. The movie is well over two hours, but it's worth it, I promise. It tells the story of the people that worked on the space launch, without much credit afterward. The main character is a black female mathematician. And dear lord, the racism and the ...

The Cosy TV-Shows to Watch This Summer

What better way to get into the summer feel than watching some cosy, wholesome TV-shows with a summer vibe!  1. Virgin Rivers (4 seasons, ongoing) Cosy elements: Small town, lake, mountains, romance, caring nurse. Mel is a nurse trying to find some peace and quiet by taking a job out in the countryside. However, she soon finds out that a small town doesn't mean there is nothing going on! Mel meets a lot of different people, some become friends, some enemies (although almost always temporarily) and one man in particular who catches her eye. I ADORE everyone in the city of Virgin Rivers. This show feels like being let into a community and soon you'll be rooting for all members! 2. Heartland (16 seasons, ongoing) Cosy elements: Horses, close knit family, multi generational, ranch life. Since Amy's mom died, it's on her to keep the Heartland ranch running together with her grandfather. Even though Amy is amazing with horses, it's the people in her life who cause the mos...
